The Long Beach Recovery Act

The Long Beach Recovery Act is a $20,000 grant. It is not a loan and does not need to be repaid.

Requirements

• Must agree to occupy the home as their primary residence for a minimum of five years
• Must be a U.S. citizen or have the right to permanently reside in the U.S.
• Must currently live in a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) qualified area in Long Beach
• Must be pre-approved by a lender for a 30-year fixed mortgage loan. Cash purchases are not eligible.
• Must be represented by a licensed Realtor in the home buying process.
• Must not have more than double (2x) the grant amount in liquid assets, excluding retirement accounts, after the home purchase loan closes.
